Yep - I'd be up for that.

Wow, barring any individual aircraft I've never built any modern or WW I bombers.
Although I'm way over booked with GB's at the moment and I need to trim those down next year.

Shame on you Stuart!

lol!
I'm not sure why tbh - I do actually find a lot of Japanese aircraft very visually attractive, especially a lot of single engine fighters. Like Luftwaffe stuff though I've just never been able to get much into the subject, I'm more of an Allied guy. That being said, I'd like to have a Zero or similar to go with my FW-190 so maybe I'll do one for this GB.

Me neither - but I really like the Savoia Marchetti and the Macchi Folgore and Veltro

If you do, take the advice of someone who's built several Zekes in most scales (or most Japanese aircraft for that matter)
Buy some canopy masks!!

A quick comment before Stuart does it.. Dragon Rapide is a British design (De Havilland DH-89)

Duly noted. Thank you for the correction. I still think it's an ugly plane, but I guess not as bad as some other aircraft: the German asymmetrical designs in particular. I'm looking at the BV-something-or-other that has a single fuselage with an engine on it and the cockpit in a glass "enclosure" on the side of the wing. What were they thinking?

LOL!!!! It's not a bad looking plane I agree, but it's not my favourite 1920/30's De Haviland. If we're talking 'never built a' I could write a loooong list of General Aviation/Light Aircraft types that I would love to build but aren't kitted. I really wish someone would put out a decent range of 1/48 Light Aircraft, and not just the same old bloody short winged PA-28s and Cessna 152/172's. There are so many interesting type that could be done - with loads of weathering potential. You want a beat up aircraft to weather, try anything used by a parachute drop school - some of the Cessna 206's I used to work on were horrendous - as are most flying club aircraft. Hell Ammo/Mig could do a 'bug splatter' range!
I agree with you on this wholeheartedly, as long as they include these same planes in 1/72 scale. There are several types of Lear jet that I would love top add to my collection.
BlackSheep214 wrote:Mark, I'll take the Raptide off your hands if you're not going to do it. What scale is it? What brand?
Well, I don't have one in my stash. I've never picked one up due to my dislike for the looks of the plane. If I ever do pick one up in a raffle or something, you'll get first crack at it.
I like the idea of a mid-month start next month. I'll most likely start with the smaller and easier models I have in the stash and work my way up. That way, I'll at least get something finished before this ends!

I've been on a role this year for building. So I'll jump in. I don't think I've ever built a Huey. 1/72 Hasegawa UH-1H

Well I do have a Skyrocket that's been shelved for about 3 years. I can merge this one over to this GB. Barely started actually.
