You just gotta do what makes you happy and you can live with. You're not trying to impress anyone but yourself.
no, and that is not likely to happen anyway. It is like Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Pot. I can see all the possibilities and then thhhhppppbbbbttttt they are gone.

Sometimes trying to impress myself gets out of control... :hmm: Oh wait, I can do this... Oh I did this, so now I gotta do that... I am my own worst critic and enemy at times... why cant I build like a kid anymore??? :scream:

Well, I have no delusions over what I can do, so I build OOB most all the time. And yes, I love the consistency of seeing all my models in the same scale so I keep building 1/72 scale.

That being said, I do have a 1/32 scale Phantom P-51 Mustang in my stash that I do intend to build. It was a well-earned prize from a Speed-Build competition, so I certainly want to honor that by working on this. I also have a 1/32 scale Tiger Shark I'm working on. It was a New Years Challenge from 2009 that I never finished in time; but I'm determined to finish anyway. I just have to find a few parts that went missing.

What parts are you missing on your F-5E Mark? I have some extras as mine was missing some too and Hasegawa sent me the whole sprue instead of just the parts... their customer service was glacially slow, but in the end I can't complain.

Yeah a consistent 1/32 jet collection would take up some space for anything past Korean War era... :hmm: Almost all the Vietnam jets were BIG beasts! Even the "hot rod" simple Migs are good sized in 1/32...

Most recently the right tail surface broke off; it's still somewhere in the Hobby Room. Other than that, so far I'm only missing the main canopy. I had found it some time ago and wondered just where I'd gotten such a huge clear piece. I'd forgotten about the F-5E because I hadn't worked on it in over a year and it was buried somewhere in my stash... out of sight, out of mind. I put the canopy away in what I felt was a safe place to keep it from getting lost. Well, it's still safely in place; I just lost the place I put it! :headslap: :bag:

I may also need some wheels and landing gear parts as they've taken quite a beating during the past year or two. Don't know for sure yet though until I try to rebuild them.

Thanks Carlos. I'll keep you posted.

I cant help you on the canopy. I do not have have an extra clear sprue. I am not sure about the landing gear, if it is on that extra sprue or not... if it is, it's all yours.

Thanks Carlos. I'll keep you posted as much as I can. I'm planning on decaling this soon once I can clear some space on my Hobby Desk. I might even bring it to a Hobby Day and do it there.

I'll let you know.
