Think I'll have to make a trip to Walmart....I used that Klear Strip brand before, for cleaning (and mixing with Metallizers and clear coats) and liked it a lot. Picked up some other stuff from the hardware store around the corner, not as good.

Question for those who have tried it... does lacquer thinner work with Vallejo paints for airbrushing? Or, aside from Vallejo's own thinner, is there any other brand of acrylic thinner that works with the stuff. Reason being is that I have Vallejo Iraqi Sand and will be using it on my BMP build. BUT, I do not have any Vallejo thinner. I have heard from a guy at AMPS that Testors Acrylic Thinner works with Vallejos... Can anybody here relate their experiences with these specific items? Oh yes, I do have the Kleen Strip Lacquer Thinner. But I did not have to see People of Walmart to get it. Ace Hardware carries the stuff.

Well I did try Tamiya w/the Lacquer Thinner the other day... Wow! The stuff airbrushes beautifully and a nice hard flat smooth finish once cured... Great tip!

i thin my acrylics with isopropyl rubbing alcohol .
used on my revell ho 229 and me 262 hgIII
i have also used future, but i like the alcohol better.

It's pretty darn great isn't it? A heck of a lot cheaper than X-20A.

What brands do you use? Every time I've gotten alcohol near Vallejo it turned to blue cheese. Though it does work with Tamiya and MM Acryl fairly well...but in my experience it causes drying problems if not careful...like it dries before it reached the surface of the model.

i have never tried the vallejo .
i'm using gunze sangyo , polly s , mm , and niche .
my favorite is the niche , best paint i've used. don't think its available anymore tho
i've never had any problems with dry spray . i mix it up really thin. almost transparent and use light coats and slowly build it up .
