Yesterday afternoon I had a good airbrushing session on this one. I started with some touch up work in the cowling area where I had done some seam clean up work, then afterwards I did some weathering fade mottle on the upper surfaces to replicate the look that SBDs would get after some time in service. I also painted the prop blades black to get them ready for marking decals and painted the bombs in light gray over a yellow base coat to match the standard USN practice of the timeframe that I am modeling, 1942.
How it looks now…

Is that middle picture a photo or painting?
