Oh, red meat, too. We eat a lot of chicken and pork, but sometimes you have to live on the edge! It is a real PITA.

I cannot take NSAIDS, so it is 650mg Tylenol, sometimes tart cherry juice(works!) and a med called Colchcine.
Man that sucks Lyle!

That also sucks.

Can you get Paracetamol pills with added caffeine in the US? I suffer from daily headaches and migraines (have done since I was 14) mainly caused by my neck - okay not arthritis (yet) but the only thing I take that helps is two of those and two ibuprofen at the same time.

Well, either this POS is done or it is going in the trash. It has fought every step of the way and it wins. I think I'm done with aircraft for a bit. This one has sucked the joy out of the hobby. No, not being over dramatic. Anyway. moving on.

I understand well. I have two aircraft models almost ready for paint but for some reason, they just sit there, waiting for attention. It really wouldn't take that long to finish them up. But there's no "joy" in it right now. I have so many nice airplane kits that should be built but with my attitude and work ethic, meh. :sleep2: There is no argument that I find tanks/AFVs to be more fun to build, less stressful and more imaginative. I had fun building my last tank, the Bulldog, and it wasn't very stressful as I felt I could cover mistakes in a way that is impossible with a model plane. Maybe that's a cop-out but it makes for more enjoyable modeling for me and that's what it's all about!

I also have a Monogram 1/24 Bugatti 35 that's been "started" or at least I've removed all the chrome plating; building a car model is something I haven't done since 1976, and ironically, it was the same model kit. I have made some plans for it but I can see a few stressful steps ahead with that too!

A rather accurate assessment. All genre has their peculiarities. Masking canopies, landing gear, all that has gotten to where it just wears me out. It seems that skills are slipping rather than improving the more I try. So, we pause flying things for a while.

Me three - I've been building 99% aircraft for the last 15 years and, whilst I keep trying, I feel a bit burnt out/bored by the subject - That tiny little Typhoon I finished a few weeks ago, I actually started back in September - 5 months, for a tiny 1/72 WWII fighter? I'm also really really fed up of building old Clunker kits - I need some modernity.

I think Mike has the right idea with his Gundams, building something different to keep it interesting.

I think I may well clear all the aircraft away for a while, especially the small stuff - maybe at the back end of the year I might build That Tamiya Tomcat that's collecting dust on my shelf, but until then I have some nice tanks to build and maybe some sci-fi.

I've also pretty much quit the internet. FB, youtube, amazon, forums - it's only here and another small (around 10 posters) forum I go on now.

Do an American muscle car. Loads of them out there. Heck... do the General Lee Charger for giggles  :giggles:

I get it too. I need a break.away from wingy things and have been on an armor kick as of late.

I'll build something completely different once in a while just for fun. Those little 1/350 subs are great - did one in about 8 hours. I'm always building airplanes and cars so the diversion is fun once in a while.
I have everything to do the right version of the General Lee BTW :bag:
Thanks,
John

My son Carson is a major gearhead/car guy and he was a huge "Dukes of Hazzard" fan as a little boy, and he tells me that among the hot rodders and muscle car fans, that TV show is much hated. Because every time we see that Charger of theirs going airborne, that's one more Dodge Charger written off as those landings just basically ruined each one. I don't remember how many he said were used up during the show's run but it was substantial!
