In a way, yes. But at least now I know it had been renovated. Well... except for the cellar. I see a little black mold along the back wall. Not sure from looking at the photos.

My sister and I both agree that's way too much grey in the house. Then again college dorms tend to be one color.

White carpetting in the LR? Ick! I know the DR had linoleum floors as does the majority of the house has. I'd strip all the linoleum flooring and carpeting and restore the hardwood floors. :lashed:

An interesting feature in that house - there is a "tunnel" closet that divided the two bedrooms. Meaning when we were kids, we used to hide going thru my grandpa's bedroom closet, crawl through tje "tunnel closet" and come out to my grandma's bedroom. LOL!

The house I grew up in was listed for sale a couple of years ago. My brother saw it and sent me the listing. They did a bunch of mods and it really looked pretty good, except for the sitting outside the back door with no fencing. We also had a passthrough closet between two bedrooms. Strange but fun when you are a kid.

Since my dad was active duty army, we never stayed in a house long enough to matter. The one they live in now is a different story.

The house I grew up in was 1001 square feet with one bathroom and there were 6 of us. I wouldn't want that house if you gave it to me.

Love the pic and reminiscing. The damndest thing struck me, the chair! Same style chair my dad had at the desk in oir basement where i did my drafting and built models. Similar to you that comment about sitting indian style on the floor reminded me of some nights i was up till 3 or 4 am building or painting a model on my bedroom floor. Ah what a great post :shoutout:

Pretty cool,I love the old photos with the rounded corners you used to drop your roll of film at the local drug store and get your pics back a week later.
