So, last night i had a doctors appointment, the results of which were i have a chest infection, a weeks worth of antibiotics, and possibly a chest x-ray in a month. So yay.
My reward for adulting?



Its a nice easy kit. Not too much in the way of colour mixing. So i should be able to crack it out in a couple weeks. Now that ive said that it will sit for the next year lol.

Right crack it open - Put some RAC Rallying on youtube - Get some basic supplies and a beer (ok your on antibiotics so maybe not) and build the shit out of it - and have some fun!

Zoomed days adulting does suck! But, you handled it as you should have!

I lost my modeling mojo last year. It lasted about six months. It corresponded to fishing season so I just simply fished more and didn't return to the modeling room until the desire to do so came back. For me, it was important to turn my back on modeling and do other things. At first, I didn't think about my modeling projects but those thoughts started creeping back in slowly but surely. At the end of six months, I had some new ideas and excitement about the builds that I had been working on and picked up where I had left off.

I'm currently in another "slump", modeling-wise. Part of it is just being busy with family stuff. But this fishing thing is starting to build too!

It happens to everybody. Mine stemmed from my inability to shelve the high tech 32 scale kits. Modeling soon became a chore and I spent a lot of money only to be shelving a whole bunch of kits that I would never get back to. I have now traded most of those 32 scale kits for some 48 scale ones and being able to get a kit done in a month vs six sure helps me garner more enjoyment from the hobby. Who knows? I may even venture into 72 for a while.

Or build it for my upcoming Group Build - Racers, Dragsters, & Funny Cars Group Build starting in September 2019. Those Tamiya racer kits are very good from what I hear.

Mike good to see you back here and glad you're doing something abut the mojo. One thing that sometimes helps for me when I sit in the room and everything I look at drains me. I'll pick something up and add a part to it. Just glue one part onto something. Sometimes that motivates me to ads another part; or I'll pick up another model and glue a part onto that. Sometimes that also causes me to continue adding parts to it as well. Whatever I get motivated to continue on usually starts the floodgates going. If it doesn't, I'll do the same thing again the next day or a day later; that is if I don't start something new like mentioned above.

But that would involve waiting till september. Ive already screwed up the primer, i cant wait that long lol.
