I don't remember much from there...inside (I was 8-9). Went on a Scouts trip...spent the night on the ship...had free reign all over the ship and sub. Believe it or not...I bought my first A-7 kit from the gift shop there...1st time I can remember even seeing an A-7, was on that Monogram box...hooked ever since!
I remember one of the small rooms on the ship had 2 model display cases...I sat in front of them for hours, in awe. I could not wrap my little 8-9 year old brain around how you could not see any seams, and they were in "real life" colors!

That had to be a treat, it certainly has created memories. I'd love to go back.

I have a soft spot for Sukhoi jets, especially the Su-27 and her derivates. But I think I'm hooked to all Russian cold war stuff. Seen that new Su-9 Fishpot from Trumpeter?
And that's all a joke compared to my really psychotic love to the Butcherbird. Only 12 left in my stash.

Definetly not "essential" in anyway but my personal soft spots are Polikarpov's, forward swept wings and rocket powered aircraft..... now what dies that say about me?

I think the essential subjects would be peasants followed by serfs....oh wait, sorry, wrong type of subjects...

I think every possible example has been already cited. I agree with the P-51s, Me109s, etc...but I also think that there should be some staple "need to try" kits here and there, such as a figure besides the ones with your armor or aircraft kit. Or, if all you've ever built in is injection molding, maybe a resin kit. Or maybe some cheaper kits to try new techniques on.

Nope, you have to feed, clothe and house peasants and serfs. That costs more than paid employees. The best kind is a village that pays you for your protection.
