Thanks for the suggestions! Cheap is good right now, so I may try food coloring next.
To make each build less crappy than the last one. Or, put another way, "Better than the last one, not as good as the next one!"..

I just remembered

I simulated bronze with tinted Future

for tinting this was used

f.l.t.r.: Mixol is just very fine pigments in water; Yellow bubble jet printer ink; Magenta bubble jet printer ink; the mixture with Future - it was about 1 drop of Mixol, three drops Yellow and one or two drops Magenta together with about 100 drops Future - never measured this

The base here was Metalizer

For a window to look through it probably depends of the thickness of the silver

That looks spot on!
