I’ll try that later. I doubt I have a clog there but it doesn’t hurt to do a do over with lacquer thinner.

I'm glad to hear that you did get some spraying done. I don't have a Paasche single action so I can't help there.

Blacksheep, I also have an Iwata Neo, but mine keeps backflushing into the cup. The only time it stops is when I pull the needle all the way out of the nozzle, and then the paint is coming out too thick or fast. I tried adjusting the pressure; broke it down and re-cleaned it thoroughly (it had been broken down and cleaned thoroughly by the guy I bought it from), checked the fit of everything; I even checked the nozzle to see if it was clogged. I saw light through it. I am thoroughly stumped.

Hey, I have the exact same airbrush. From the sound of it, we probably bought it around the same time too. Three possible points of paint clog... the screw tip, the needle and the cup. Brings back memories of having to clean out that long siphon tube on the cup after each freaking color change.... whatta pain! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a double-action with a gravity cup and save yourself lots of time/effort. You'll save paint too.

Yup... done all that. Used pipe cleaner to clear out tube in paint cup. Yeah, it's a pain to clean.

Have you given it a test run yet since the latest cleaning session?

Yes I have. Seems to spray a little better but still no backflush at each cleaning session.

That air has to be going somewhere during the backflush...

Methinks there’s a leak in the hose neck attachment....

Wednesday night, after an spray session, I cleaned the paint cup, the needle and tip as best as I can. Decided to soak the tip and needle in glass jar in lacquer thinner. Tonight, I took them out, dried them and prepare for another spray session. Looks like it's spraying beautifully.

Woohoo! As long as it is working properly now!
