I see that the costs of most imports from Asia to you is quite noticeable. Funny how the Academy sprues in an Eduard box drop in price significantly. At the prices which you listed, I’d take a serious look at the Revell/Zvezda kits. Zvezda has made some very nice new tool kits, Hobby Boss as well.

decisions, decisions...

It must be destiny, but I went today to one of these "sells everything" shops, they usually have some Revell kits for sale, so I decided to take a brief look.
And there it was, on the shelf, in front of my eyes, Revells Tiger II Ausf B, late production !
Despite that the price was higher in this type of shop, I did not hesitate, bought it and brought the baby home.
Have not checked the sprues yet, but fixed Revells annoying side folding type box to become a box with a lid !
Some tape and a few staplers did the job!

Very nice! What sort of tracks does this kit have? Single length soft? Link and length? Indy link? I’m certainly going to watch this build.

Cool, heard a lot of good things about the Zvezda kit. Revell's selling it for a very fair price if I remember correctly.

The tracks are rubber, soft in two pieces / side. I am still planning to order Friulmodels metal tracks, not sure I want to use these rubber tracks. Though, before pressing "order" button, will still test out these rubber ones to see if I can make something out of them.

All in all quite nice kit and the sprues are made of this softer plastic, something I prefer before the harder, sometimes brittle plastic.
This is a pretty easy kit to build, I believe.
Which is just a perfect "come back" project to build.
