Good question. Let’s hope these still exist. I still wanna track the X-Wing that was stolen from the paint shop of ILM in 1976. I know GL kept the Blockade Runner. As far as I know that will be part of his museum near USC and let’s look forward to the unveiling of the Aries 1B from “2001” soon. FYI two of the “Blade Runner” model cars and one matte painting are hanging in the offices of the UCLA Film/TV Department. Those could use TLC.Stikpusher wrote:The Planet Hollywood restaurant chain used to have movie miniatures on display as part of their decor. Along with props and costumes on mannequins. The one that we used to frequent had a TIE fighter in a case in one of the dining areas, and a very large ( I’m talking 10-12 feet long at least ) Red October Typhoon Class SSBN suspended over the bar. I wonder what happened to those items when the chain closed.

Almost makes me wish that my oldest had gone for a degree in that art so that I could have seen all the good stuff in the UCLA film department.
I am looking forward to what GL does with the museum here. Sounds like there will be some great stuff to see there.

Definitely! We need our museums now more than ever to be centers for our communities! L.A. is such a big place there is a real need for inspiration and education in a setting that will inspire the children... adults, too.
