For low to mid intensity conflict CAS, nothing out there comes close to an A-10. Except for perhaps the Su-25. Really those two are the only dedicated types out there. The Air Forces plan to try a 30mm gun pod on the F-16 lasted all of one day in actual combat in 1991. Unless they go back to the drawing board and do another competition, with similar requirements, it’s just not gonna happen.

Thanks for the compliment. I think my next aircraft will be the Zoukei Mura F 4E when it comes out finished in the livery of the 32nd TFS at Sousterberg, the Netherlands . The F 4 served with the 32nd after the F 102A and before the F 15C. I've built the Soesterberg F 102A and F 15C. I spent 4 great years there working on F 102 MG 10A fire control.

Yes, you need to make the collection compete. What did they fly fly before the F-102?

They flew F 86 then F 100. There is a Dutch decal maker that has decals for all the 32nd aircraft except the F 15

I've ordered the decals for the 32nd TFS F 4E. Now all I have to do is wait for ZM to produce it. It shouldn't be too long. They've brought out the F-4J, S, C, andD in a little over a year. Then I'll have to start looking for a good F 86F and F 100C

Right now it’s a toss up between Academy and Hasegawa on the best 1/48 F-86F. And only Trumpter makes a 1/48 F-100C currently.

Kinetic’s 1/32 Sabre is probably the best one in scale.
