I have several plans for the year... 1st up, I am going to complete my F-4G review build. 2nd, I will be starting a build of a ship for a friend, who asked me to do a particular ship for him. 3rd, I am going to work on my Cold War armor roots, which dovetails nicely with the T-54/T-55 GB our AMPS Chapter is running this year. I also am going to knock out a few projects that I had been wanting to complete form the shelf queens that have been sidelined for various amounts of time. And last but not least, I am going to start a series of various builds in tribute to my father, who passed away last week.

I'm sorry to hear of your dad's passing Stik; you have my sincere condolences.
I plan on finished my long-stalled Hawker Hurricane IIC first. Then, I have a rather ambitious project (well, for me anyway) planned. I'm calling it the "Red Star Triple Play". I plan on building three different Soviet WWII fighters
simultaneously. Many colors are common among the three and I envision a sort of "assemble line" approach. They are a Yak-9T, La-7 and MiG-3, all 1/48 of course! And after that? Who knows? The 50s are always calling though and that Hawker Hunter keeps calling my name...

Thank you Tex & Blacksheep. Tex, your plans for the Soviet trio sound really good to me. The 50's are calling for me as well, especially for some of the builds that I plan in tribute to my father. He served in the Army and later in the Air Force Reserve thru much of the 50's, as well as working for first American Airlines and later TWA as well. So I bet you can see what some of my builds to honor him will be.

I too offer my condolences Carlos. I didn't know. I am really looking forward to seeing your tribute builds to him. Also, when you start the ship, feel free to consult with Sean Fallesen from our club for any questions and ideas you need. He's brilliant at building ships and will be a big help.
Take care and if there is anything you need, feel free to contact me.

One plan I'm definitely looking to get is this:
http://www.azmodel.cz/product_info.php? ... cts_id=827
I need to get two of them since I'm doing the "Special Scheme" on the Mig-17 as well as for the L-39 Albatross I have in my stash. The second kit will fill that need for me. For those who are curious in why I need to get 2 of them and what exactly this "Special Scheme" is; it includes decals for the Black Diamond Jet Team. Thank God, I don't have to worry about making my own.

Thank you Mark. I have already touched bases with Sean about this upcoming ship build. I have most everything I need now except for a PE brass set. I found one in the right scale for a different type of ship that looks like it will do nicely. Let's just say that this will be a serious upgrade of a very old kit and I think that my skills are finally up to the task and level of work that I have in mind. I think that you will like the tribute builds when I get those done. I am going to be out of my usual areas and scales on several of them.
