Got ya... RCA jacks... Way outside the box thinking...

It came from my "musical half"

I was looking at the 1/4" jacks on an Amp, and realized that they were "bulkhead mounted",,,,,,,,that drew me to RCAs when I started looking at hardware to buy.

After seeing how cheap those came in bulk packs,,,,,and realizing that I'd assemble one half into the model and the other half onto the stand, I jumped at it. It will let me just pop the model off of the stand for transport, and pop it on when I place the model somewhere.

For the snap on character neodymium magnets can be a solution, too. No need to drill a hole into your model and this little discs stick like hell!

The decal options for us is insane nowadays. I have so many US Navy decals I could probably make an entire air wing. The only exception being the E-2 (but it's on my list).

Decal options and multiple kits are how I got the nickname "the Accidental CAG"

To use all of this stuff up, I am going to need to find Light Gull Gray by the gallon. (hey, I have to save money somewhere, hah)

It is getting expensive, now. I am forced to search for decal sheets with multiple options, just to get one specific scheme that was included on the sheet.

I just wish that all the decal sheets today were not short production runs. You used to be able to get any sheet for years. Now if you don't pick it up when released, your chances of getting that sheet drop sharply.

Yep. They usually only make 500-1000 sheets depending on the subject. So they say. The Afterburner decal sheets that I picked up were supposedly "out of stock". But I guess it helps to know the guy that helped design them.
