Whatever, Manny´s comment wasn´t funny at all and therefore has been taken care of. It lacked all sanity and reason. One should think twice before posting such crap.

In an effort to get this tread back on topic:

Modelling is defintely a source of relaxation for me. I useally have some electronic music on: royksopp, air, kraftwerk, trentemoller.
Altough modelling is relaxing but I also have to be a bit relaxed before I start. No point in modelling if I am all stressed out or have a lot of things on my mind.

The most fun time are when I share the desk. For instance on vacation both me and my brother in law do some modelling on the same desk. The suddenly modelling becomes a social activity, which is a nice change.

I'll have the tv on from time to time...not often though. The rest of the time, I have Pandora radio on the pc...European Power Metal mostly (Helloween, Gamma Ray, Sabaton...through in some Iron Maiden and Megadeth too). Silence drives me bananas.
I'll never have beer...cuz I don't like it...but a Cherry Pepsi with some Cherry Admiral Nelson (rum) mixed in is a good motivator!

How can you concentrate listening to heavy metal? LOL! If anything, I'd be listening to Sinatra, Dino, or even Bach. ROFLMAO!! Most times, I prefer the quietness while working on a kit.

I like listening to classic rock while building. Just turn the ipod to shuffle and go!

However, there are a few good ones in there...."I Want Out", Helloween is there though. That song took me from listening to top 40 radio to nothing but Metal(mostly)...back when I was 12. I remember being up late, working on a model...headed down to the kitchen to get a snack. By brother was in the living room watching "Headbangers Ball"(back when Mtv actually played music). I heard that opening guitar lick and was in awe! Ran to the record store the next morning and bought the record (YES...record!), the rest is history!

(I do still dig the "Oldies", 50s-60s)

Im born in 82, and some of the 80s bands say nothing to me. Helloweens "I want out" was totally unknown to me since a friend shoed me some months ago. First I thought: "Oh yeah, 80s glam rock Thats what they look like - as so many other bands. But the song itself is really a catchy tune.

I agree; I love modeling with fellow modelers. That's why we have our monthly Hobby Day Fridays where me and at least six or seven fellow modelers get together at a Hall and spend the day building models together. Everyone is always amazed at how much more productive they are when building side-by-side with fellow modelers. My AMPS club also has occasional build days as well. Great fun!
